You’ll fly in either our open-cockpit tandem or our fully enclosed side-by-side gyroplane – both equipped with dual controls so you can safely follow along and take the controls under expert guidance.
With over 15 years of aviation experience and 15,000+ skydives, instructor Caylon Hackler brings a calm, confident teaching style and perfect safety record. From curious first-timers to licensed pilots, we welcome anyone ready to experience flight from a whole new perspective.
The Aircraft
Gyroplanes combine the best of helicopters and airplanes into one of the safest, most agile aircraft in the sky. Choose between an open-cockpit tandem for an immersive, wind-in-your-face experience – or a fully enclosed side-by-side model for added comfort. Both offer stunning views and a hands-on flight like nothing else.
Your instructor, Caylon Hackler brings years of experience and a calm, confidence-building approach to every lesson. His goal is simple: make flying safe, fun, and accessible – whether you’re stepping into the cockpit for the first time or adding a new aircraft to your logbook.
Your lesson starts with a quick pre-flight briefing before taking off in either an open-cockpit or enclosed gyroplane. You’ll fly along the Kona coast, over lava fields, and – in season – maybe even spot humpback whales. With dual controls, you’ll take the controls and experience what it’s like to fly.
