The Aircraft
You’ll be flying a modern gyroplane, a light aircraft commonly used for flight training and recreational flying. Gyroplanes can operate comfortably at slower speeds and offer excellent visibility making them well suited for taking in Hawaii’s landscape from above.

Your lesson begins with a short pre-flight briefing before departing along the Kona Coast. In flight, you can experience what it’s like to fly the gyroplane alongside your instructor. From above, lava flows descend from the volcanoes toward a rugged shoreline, meeting turquoise waters below — a perspective of the Big Island you don’t get from the ground.
